Ahh, I love New Year’s Day. It’s something about the hopefulness that hangs in the air. New beginnings and promises to break bad habits. As for me, I did complete 5/6 resolutions I made last year. I feel pretty accomplished because I never made resolutions until last year.

This day also calls for a necessary introspection and a virtual flashback of the past year. A lot has changed… and of course that can go for any year. But I have surpassed fundamental rites of passage that will transition me into the beginning of my adulthood. Luckily for me, I start every year relatively a new age. And within 20 days I will be a legal adult. 

For some reason I have great confidence and a lot of hope for 2012 in particular. Great changes are happening and I’m sure there will be a lot of bumps along the road. Debut, prom, graduating, and college. But through all these changes I’m sure some things will never change.
